Shawn Score is President of U.S. Retail for Best Buy Co., Inc., a multinational retailer of technology and entertainment products and services. In this capacity, Score and his team are responsible for the end-to-end operations and execution of all the Best Buy stores in the United States.
Score is a 27-year Best Buy employee and leads by example and encourages new, fresh thinking by asking the hard questions. He embraces the ideas and insights of individual employees, and helps propel those employees toward long, successful careers with the company. He is known for giving new ideas a chance and his “get it done right” attitude. He uses his vast experience to mentor fellow retail leaders and does an amazing job of integrating corporate support teams with store employees.
Previously, Score served as senior vice president and general manager of the Connectivity Business Group and before that was the president of Best Buy Mobile. Prior to those roles, Shawn served in a variety of leadership positions including senior vice president, territory general manager and senior vice president of sales support. Additionally, Score was a member of a leadership team that initiated the shift in the company’s business strategy by helping identify and better meet needs of specific customer groups. During his Best Buy career, Score has held several increasingly senior field positions including district manager, regional manager and regional vice president.
Shawn currently serves the role of president of the Best Buy Children’s Foundation, and has volunteered with several charitable organizations including Habitat for Humanity, Red Cross, Boys and Girls Clubs and local school events.
