Best Buy Promotes David Hemler to President of Best Buy for Business

MINNEAPOLIS, August 7, 2007 – Best Buy Co., Inc. (NYSE: BBY), has promoted David Hemler to the created position of president, Best Buy for Business. In his new role, Hemler, age 39, will lead the development and execution of strategies for delivering technology solutions to business, education and government customers. Hemler will report to Darren Jackson, executive vice president and chief financial officer for Best Buy.
