Best Buy Celebrates The Official Grand Opening Of Its First China Store

SHANGHAI, January 25, 2007 – Best Buy Co., Inc. (NYSE: BBY), North America’s largest retailer of consumer electronics, announced today that it is to begin the celebrations of its official grand opening on January 26 after strong performance in the first month of business. Since the store’s soft opening a month ago, over 85% of the customers have rated the store high for satisfaction. Several product lines, including Nokia cell phones and HP laptops and desktops sold more than any other store in Shanghai, and Apple laptops and desktops in the China Eastern region during the New Year promotion period.
